Part 1 (47 min.) – Diana Whitney discusses shifts in the practice of strategic planning from top down, bureaucratic to whole system, high engagement.
Part 2 (27 min.) – Diana follows on by presenting models of Appreciative Inquiry based Strategic Planning, including the SOAR Model.

Boulder County Aging Services: A Case Study of Community Engagement (41 min.)

Guest presenter, Rosemary Williams (former Division Manager, Aging Services Division, Boulder County, CO) and Amanda Trosten-Bloom present an overview of this award winning Appreciative Inquiry process: what was done; who was involved; and what has resulted.

Organization Design As If Life Matters (35 min.)

Diana Whitney overviews possibilities for organization design through a positive lens; and then presents the Principles of Appreciative Organizing.

Appreciative Living (60 min.)

Guest presenter, Jackie Kelm (Author and Founder, Appreciative Living) introduces the concept of Appreciative Living by sharing her research and results in a lively and highly engaging manner.
Part 1 (41 min.) is Jackie’s dynamic presentation.
Part 2 (20 min.) is the experiential exercise.

Sustaining Positive Change (65 min.)

Drawing from a variety of highly successful long-term positive change initiatives, Amanda Trosten-Bloom guides participants in exploring the question of how best to sustain the positive results of an Appreciative Inquiry over time.
